Growing up in New York City, the honorable Mayor Edward Irving Koch was a big part of my life. This is an afternoon I spent with him for House & Garden back in the 90’s. I was just with him three weeks ago, and he was as funny and clever as ever. I’m sorry to see him go. New York has lost its ambassador to the world.
